Central Office

Located in the heart of Baltimore, our Central Office works diligently to increase the public awareness of minority researchers in the area of cancer disparities. To promote awareness, the Central Office spearheads MSPN web site, which acts as a cancer resource tool for consumers and researchers. The web site provides users with resources on cancer, including names of institutions that can be contacted for conferences, referrals, and clinical trials.

To meet its goals, MSPN operates subcontractor offices throughout the State of Maryland. The Network's particular focus is on urban Baltimore City, rural Eastern Shore, Southern Maryland, and the Piscataway- Conoy Confederacy. Through cancer incidence and mortality rates compiled by The Maryland Cancer Registry, these areas demonstrate a strong need for cancer prevention and control services, as well as cancer research.
